Cleaning Out Your Burner

Always ensure that the flame is extinguished before cleaning
  • When the wax is completely melted and in a liquid form, place one or two cotton balls into the melting dish, slowly, the cotton balls will absorb the liquid, once absorbed place the cotton balls in the bin and wipe the melting plate.
  • Extinguish your tea light and leave your burner to cool completely.  Remove the tea light and place the whole burner, or if you are using an burner with a removable glass dish, then just the glass dish, into the freezer for 10-20 minutes.  After 10-20 minutes, remove your burner/glass dish from the freezer, and you will see that the wax will have released from the burner, simply just remove and bin.  It is important to note, you must allow your burner to return to room temperature before using or it will crack.  You must not use this technique on electric burners.
